RECREATIONAL

Ages 7 through 19

Recreational soccer is for boys and girls ages 7 to 19. Boys and girls teams typically practice on Everett School District fields twice a week starting in August. Teams play on weekends in a 10 week season beginning in September. Use the chart below to determine what game day schedule to expect. Each team purchases their own uniforms (typically $20-$40) and teams may stay together over multiple seasons. All children are eligible to play - no tryouts are required.

Game Day Schedule Notes:

  • Teams playing in a division with a BYE weekend may need to play two games in a weekend--one Saturday and one Sunday.
  • Games scheduled on Sunday will not start before 12:00 PM (Noon) -- see the exception below.
  • For the U16-U18/19 age groups, Sunday games scheduled for weekends in November after Daylight Saving Time ends may need to start as early as 10:30 AM.

Typically, practice times and days depend on when the coach is available. Recreational soccer teams practice twice a week for one hour, usually on a Mon/Wed or Tue/Thur schedule with a few two hour Friday-only options to fit everyone onto available fields. Practice times typically begin at 5:00 PM with some starting as late as 8:00 (for the older age players.) Practice locations are mostly on Everett School District fields in the Silver Lake area but include Mill Creek Sports Park, Tambark Field and occasionally Kasch Park. Each coach submits requests in late July. From these requests, assignments are made. You should be prepared to accept one of the above typical practice schedules--it would be impossible to attempt matching individual players to coaches in order to meet specific schedules.

SLSC offers a reduced registration fee for those players needing financial assistance. No player is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. This reduced fee does not cover uniform, equipment or team expenses. All financial aid information is kept confidential. Please contact the club Registrar for more information.

The season begins the weekend after Labor Day and continues for 10 weeks (around the second weekend in November.)
